Our grandson, Ryan, and his wife, Ciane (who were married a year ago)....Ciane's sister, Debora and husband, Peter (who were married 2 years ago) came to Salt Lake for a quick visit this week.  What adorable couples they are and we just love them all so much.  It's great to be around young, beautiful people where they are full of life and there is excitement!  The girls are from Brazil - aren't they just gorgeous???

We shoveled 9 inches of snow this morning - and it is still snowing.  It is beautiful but hard work with just snow shovels.  Hummm, I think Santa should have brought us a snow blower for Christmas this year!!

We had a great Christmas afternoon with two of our grandchidren.  Unfortunately, our son was sick with the flu and could not make it over.  Our daughter and her family stayed in Idaho and enjoyed their family Christmas there.

Kona's beautiful sunsets

Our last evening - waiting for our flight home.

Hawaii is our favorite vacation spot.  Love the ocean, warm air, flowers, smells and sounds.

Fran and Ray doing the hula!!!

We went to the Queen's Marketplace and enjoyed lunch at Charly's Thai Restaurant .

It was great fun watching the surfers from the beach of our condo.

In the open-air lobby of Kona by the Sea.  Ahh yes....the Christmas tree!

We went to the Kona Temple on Thursday.  The Temple is very small but beautiful and the grounds are impeccably groomed.

Downtown Fran met a salty old sailor - quite the character (the sailor, I mean!)
Then Ray shows off his Forrest Gump tennis shoes and box of chocolates in front of the Bubba Gump restaurant.

We have been wanting to return to Kona for several years and finally had the opportunity this month.  It was beautiful, warm and relaxing.  It did seem rather strange to see Christmas decorations up and hear "Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow" jingling through the stores.  We stayed in Kona by the Sea condo with a gorgeous view of the ocean.
